A big hotel in the ninth district, Hotel Regina lies very close to the university and right behind the Votivkirche. Originally a palace and still retaining historic elements, the building has been a hotel since 1896 and today, due to its size, proves very popular with groups of tourists. It has a nice atmosphere throughout, with rugs, period furniture, crystal chandeliers and paintings, even though the rooms are not as perfect as the foyers. It is close to public transport and an underground garage.
